DESCRIPTION

SMAJ6.5A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications in compact surface-mount SMA (DO-214AC) package format. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 6.5V with a breakdown voltage range of 7.22V to 7.80V, providing fast response times of less than 1.0 picoseconds for transient suppression. It delivers a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width and steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature, with a maximum clamping voltage of 12.3V at 35A peak current. The SMAJ6.5A operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and is RoHS compliant with UL recognition, making it ideal for portable communications, computing, and video equipment requiring IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection.
