DESCRIPTION

The SMBJ12CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact surface-mount applications. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 12 V with a breakdown voltage of approximately 13.1 to 15.6 V, providing fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds for transient suppression. The device is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package and offers 600 watts peak power dissipation capability, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. The SMBJ12CA is RoHS compliant and meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge protection standards, ensuring reliable protection against transient overvoltages in demanding industrial and consumer applications.
