The SMBJ20CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact surface-mount applications. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 20 V with a breakdown voltage range of 22.2 to 24.5 V, providing reliable clamping of transient overvoltages. The device is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package and offers fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds, with a maximum clamping voltage of 32.4 V at 10 mA and peak current handling capability of 18.6 A. The SMBJ20CA is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics in portable communications, computing, and video equipment against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events, making it essential for reliable circuit protection in modern consumer and industrial applications.
