DESCRIPTION

SMCJ120CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment applications. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 120 V, a breakdown voltage of 133 V, and a maximum reverse leakage current of 5 µA at rated voltage. It is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) surface-mount package with lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction and delivers peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 watts at 1 ms pulse width. The device exhibits fast response times of less than 5.0 ns from 0 V to minimum breakdown voltage and operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. SMCJ120CA is ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from transient overvoltage events while maintaining a small footprint suitable for modern compact device designs.
