DESCRIPTION

TISP4180J3BJR-S is a bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector designed to limit overvoltages on telecom transmission lines, particularly for transformer center tap to ground return applications. The device features an ion-implanted breakdown region providing precise and stable voltage regulation with low voltage overshoot under surge conditions. It has a repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) of 145 V and a breakover voltage V(BO) of 180 V, with a high holding current of 150 mA that allows protection of data lines with DC power feed while enabling GR-1089-CORE compliance. The device is rated for multiple international surge wave shapes including 2/10 µs (1000 A), 8/20 µs (800 A), and 10/160 µs (400 A), making it suitable for rugged modems and exposed telecom applications exceeding TIA-968-A standards.
