DESCRIPTION

The VP02EPM is an optical level sensor designed for liquid level detection using modulated infrared light technology. It features a built-in amplifier with a Ga-As diode transmitter and phototransistor receiver, housed in Polysulfone material resistant to most acids and bases. The sensor outputs ON when immersed in liquid, with PNP transistor switching capability and LED indication for output status. It operates over a voltage range of 10 to 40 VDC with a continuous current rating of 200 mA and achieves sensing accuracy of ±5 mm in horizontal mounting and ±2.5 mm in vertical mounting. The sensor is rated for IP 67 protection, operates across -20°C to +70°C, and is suitable for detecting levels in oils, wastewater, and aqueous solutions such as beer, wine, and alcohol without requiring additional accessories.
