DESCRIPTION
The 715P22454MD3 is a Type 716P Orange Drop polypropylene film/foil capacitor designed for high-performance applications requiring superior stability and low losses. It features a capacitance value of 0.22 µF with a ±5% tolerance, rated for 500 Volts AC maximum, and is constructed with non-inductively wound polypropylene dielectric and tinned copper leads. The capacitor exhibits extremely low dissipation factor, superb high-frequency response, and virtually linear temperature coefficient across the operating range of -55°C to +85°C (with derating capability to +105°C). The device is encapsulated in a flame-retardant orange epoxy conformal coating meeting UL94V-0 specifications, with an insulation resistance of 400,000 MO minimum at +25°C. These characteristics make it ideal for audio equipment, precision filtering, coupling/decoupling circuits, and other demanding RF and analog applications where low distortion and high reliability are essential.
