DESCRIPTION

The 940C6P47K-F is a Type 940 polypropylene film capacitor designed for pulse and snubber applications requiring high dV/dt performance. This axial-leaded capacitor features dual metallized electrodes that provide self-healing properties and exceptional peak current carrying capability, with a rated voltage of 600 Vdc (275 Vac) and a capacitance of 0.47 µF. The device exhibits low ESR of 1.0 mO at 100 kHz, low inductance of 7 nH, and a dV/dt rating of 22 V/µs, supporting peak currents of 92 A and RMS currents of 6.9 A at 100 kHz and 70 °C. With dimensions of 15.5 mm diameter and 34.0 mm length, this capacitor is ideal for high-frequency pulse circuits, snubber networks, and applications requiring rapid voltage transient suppression in industrial and power electronics systems.
