DESCRIPTION

The 940C6W4P7K-F is a Type 940 polypropylene film capacitor rated for 600 Vdc (275 Vac) pulse and snubber applications. It features dual metallized polypropylene electrodes providing self-healing properties and high peak current carrying capability with a dV/dt rating of 38 V/µs. The capacitor has a capacitance of 4.7 µF with ±10% tolerance, dimensions of 31.5 mm diameter by 54.0 mm length, and exhibits low ESR of 1.2 mO at 100 kHz with an ESL of 4 nH. It delivers a peak current of 105 A and an RMS current of 16.8 A at 100 kHz and 70°C, making it suitable for high-frequency pulse circuits, snubber networks, and applications requiring low inductance and rapid voltage transient handling.
