DESCRIPTION

The APF40-40-13CB/A01 is a low-profile forged heat sink designed for thermal management of BGA and other surface mount packages. Constructed from black anodized 6063 aluminum alloy, this heat sink measures 40 x 40 x 12.7 mm and features a 26x4 fin matrix. It provides a thermal resistance of 9.9 °C/Watt in natural convection, which improves to 2.3 °C/Watt under forced convection at 200 LFPM. The '/A01' designation indicates it is supplied with a pre-applied, 0.13 mm thick double-sided acrylic adhesive on a Kapton® MT carrier for easy installation. This adhesive-only mounting solution is ideal for high-power applications where no additional PCB holes are desired, providing efficient cooling without complex assembly.
