DESCRIPTION
The 515-1046F is a microED Optopipe™ optical light pipe array designed for panel-mounted LED indicator applications. It features a 6-channel rectangular configuration with 2.5 x 6.35 mm individual channels, constructed from high transmissivity water-clear polycarbonate material rated UL94V-0. The light pipe is retained by press-fit ribs and floats above the PCB without direct attachment, with polished front surfaces for optimal light transmission and a wide viewing angle. The recommended light sources are Dialight's 597 Series PLCC-2 or PLCC-4 Type SMT LEDs mounted on a 0.375" (9.53 mm) pitch, with the LED emitting surface positioned no more than 0.020" (0.5 mm) from the Optopipe™. Operating temperature range is -30°C to +100°C, and the design includes ESD protection through circuit isolation from the front panel. This configuration reduces insertion costs while providing reliable light guidance for multi-indicator panel assemblies in instrumentation, control panels, and display applications.
