DESCRIPTION

The 5511M12 is a Series 5500 momentary pushbutton switch featuring a large cap style with hinged pushbutton design and optional dual LED indicators. It delivers robust electrical performance with a contact rating of 300 mA at 12 VDC, a maximum contact resistance of 50 mO at 2–4 VDC with 100 mA load, and an insulation resistance of 50 MO minimum. The switch is rated for 500,000 cycles typical life expectancy with an actuation force of 255 grams maximum and operates reliably across a temperature range of -25°C to +65°C. The housing is constructed from nylon with an ABS cap, while contacts and terminals feature gold plating over nickel over copper alloy for enhanced durability and conductivity. This switch is ideal for telecommunications, networking, computers/servers, performance audio systems, instrumentation, and low-power on/off designs in external hard drives and modems.
