DESCRIPTION

The 1620-3-20A is a single pole thermal miniaturized circuit breaker designed for automotive applications, featuring a reset button and manual release facility (SAE type 3H configuration). It is rated for DC 12V and DC 24V operation with a maximum voltage rating of DC 29.0V, and is specifically designed to fit into fuse blocks conforming to ISO 8820-3, Type F. The device has a current rating of 20A with a voltage drop of less than 150mV, and operates reliably across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It meets SAE J553 requirements and provides service short-circuit breaking capacity of 300 operations at 2× rated current, with an ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity of at least 3 break operations at 150A or 1 break operation at 2,000A. The circuit breaker is particularly suitable for protection of electrical systems in passenger cars, trucks, buses, and watercraft, offering reliable overcurrent protection in inaccessible locations with the advantage of manual reset capability.
