DESCRIPTION

BK/GLD-5 is a non-time-delay, pin-indicating fuse designed for use in power electronic circuits where rapid fuse opening indication is critical. This fuse features an albaloy-plated indicating pin that ejects upon fuse opening to provide positive electrical signal circuit activation, with dimensions of 1/4" × 1 1/4" (6.3mm × 32mm) and a nominal length of 1.27" (32.2mm) when not blown and 1.44" (36.5mm) when blown. The fuse is rated for 5A at 125Vac with a 10kA AIC interrupting capacity and carries UL, CE, and CSA certifications per standards 248-14 and Class 1422-01. It is commonly used in power distribution and protection circuits where visual indication of fuse operation is essential, and is compatible with Cooper Bussmann Series 8000 fuse blocks and HLD panel-mounted fuseholders for enhanced visual indication.
