DESCRIPTION

MLVC40V026C3500 is a high-energy multilayer varistor from the BUSSMANN MLVC series engineered to absorb high-energy transient voltages and provide fast-response ESD protection in electronic systems. This component features a working voltage of 26 Vdc with a varistor voltage of 17 V at 1 mAdc, delivering rapid response to voltage spikes with a maximum clamping voltage of 63 V at 2.5 A (8/20 µs waveform). The device exhibits energy absorption capability of 1.3 J (10/1000 µs) and a peak current rating of 250 A, making it suitable for high-transient-energy applications. Typical capacitance is 3500 pF at 1 MHz. The MLVC40V026C3500 is widely used in ESD port protection for mobile devices, game consoles, set-top boxes, tablets, notebooks, and industrial measuring instruments, where reliable transient suppression and circuit protection are essential.
