DESCRIPTION

The FPI4040 is a 40-ampere bridge rectifier designed for medium-voltage power conversion applications, rated at 400 volts peak reverse voltage. It features an integrally molded heat sink that provides very low thermal resistance of 1.2 °C/W, enabling efficient heat dissipation during continuous operation. The device has an average forward current rating of 40 amperes at a case temperature of 55 °C, with a maximum peak surge current of 300 amperes (8.3 ms pulse), and a maximum instantaneous forward voltage drop of 20 amperes at 1.2 V. The FPI4040 operates reliably across a wide storage temperature range of -55 °C to +175 °C and maintains a maximum DC reverse current of 10 µA at 25 °C and 100 µA at 100 °C. This bridge rectifier is ideal for industrial power supplies, motor control circuits, and other applications requiring robust rectification with thermal management.
