DESCRIPTION

The 407113-NIST is a heavy-duty CFM metal vane anemometer with calibration traceable to NIST standards, designed for accurate measurement of air velocity, airflow (CFM), and temperature in demanding environments. The instrument features a high-temperature metal vane that withstands temperatures up to 175°F (80°C) and airspeed up to 78.3 MPH (6890 ft/min), with 2% velocity accuracy achieved through a low-friction ball bearing vane wheel mounted on a 39-inch (1 m) cable. It offers multiple measurement modes including instantaneous airflow values, up to 20-point averaging, and 2/3 flow calculations, with a large 9999-count LCD display for simultaneous display of airflow and temperature readings. The anemometer includes data recording and recall functions for MIN/MAX values, data hold capability, and optional RS-232 PC interface with data acquisition software. Powered by a 9V battery or optional AC adapter, this instrument is ideal for HVAC testing, industrial ventilation assessment, and environmental monitoring applications where calibration traceability and measurement reliability are critical.
