DESCRIPTION

The SMD-0218-20-SMA is a high-speed TTL logic output fixed threshold detector designed to operate from 2 to 18 GHz with SMA female connectors for both RF input and video output. This detector incorporates additional gain stages to achieve a wide input dynamic range from -20 to +10 dBm, with a fast response time of 100 ns maximum and propagation delay of 15 ns. The device provides TTL "1" video output for input power from -20 to +10 dBm and TTL "0" output for signals below -25 dBm, with threshold variation of ±0.5 dB over temperature. The rugged compact package measures 2.5 in × 2 in × 0.5 in with field-replaceable SMA connectors and solder pins, designed to meet MIL-STD-202F environmental conditions including humidity, shock, and vibration testing. This detector is ideal for electronic warfare, test and measurement, radar systems, pulsed RF measurements, and military communications applications requiring reliable signal detection across ultra-broadband frequencies.
