DESCRIPTION

SZ-Z35 is a coil surge suppression unit designed for use with Fuji Electric SC-N1 to N3 series magnetic contactors. It employs a CR (Capacitor-Resistor) circuit topology connected in parallel with the contactor coil to suppress abrupt surge voltage spikes generated during coil energization and de-energization. The unit is rated for 24-48V DC and 100-250V AC coil voltages, providing protection against voltage transients that can damage or cause malfunction in adjacent electronic devices such as programmable logic controllers. The CR circuit lowers surge voltage oscillation frequency and dv/dt characteristics, making it suitable for both AC and DC circuit applications. This optional unit helps ensure reliable operation of control systems by preventing electromagnetic interference and protecting sensitive electronic components in industrial automation and motor control applications.
