DESCRIPTION

The 62HS22-H0-040S is a high-torque, concentric shaft optical encoder featuring 16 detent positions and a 4.0-inch stripped cable. This device provides a 2-bit quadrature coded output and is optically coupled for a mechanical life of over one million cycles. It operates on a 5.0 Vdc supply, drawing a maximum of 50 mA, and features an initial operating torque of 5.0 ±1.5 in-oz. The open collector phototransistor output is compatible with CMOS, TTL, and HCMOS logic. Its high rotational torque provides positive tactile feedback, making it suitable for applications like avionics where precise manual input is required.
