DESCRIPTION

The 62S22-M5-PH is a Series 62S optical encoder designed for user interface applications in a compact 1/2'' package. This model is configured with 16 detent positions corresponding to a 22.5° angle of throw, medium rotational torque, and an integrated pushbutton with a 510-gram actuation force. It operates on a 5.00 ±0.25 Vdc supply and provides a standard 2-bit quadrature output via .100" center pins. Built for durability, the encoder has a rotational life of 1 million cycles and a pushbutton life of 3 million actuations. Its robust design and wide operating temperature range make it ideal for demanding applications like medical equipment and global positioning systems.
