DESCRIPTION

The 62V22-02-020C is a 3.3 Vdc optical rotary encoder featuring 16 detent positions (22.5° angle of throw) with an integral pushbutton switch and 2-bit quadrature coded output. The encoder utilizes optically coupled phototransistor and gallium aluminum arsenide infrared emitter technology, rated for over 1 million rotational cycles and 3 million pushbutton actuations. It operates at 3.3 ±0.125 Vdc with a maximum supply current of 30 mA and power consumption of 80 mW, providing logic output levels compatible with CMOS and TTL logic. The device features a compact 1/2" thermoplastic housing with brass nickel-plated terminals, stainless steel pushbutton dome, and is available with 4.0-inch stripped cable termination at 0.050" centers. This encoder is well-suited for applications in global positioning systems, driver information systems, and medical equipment where reliable rotational input sensing and integrated pushbutton functionality are required.
