Snap Action Switches, also known as micro switches, are switch devices that are used to open or close an electrical circuit at a rapid speed. These highly sensitive switches are very often used in irrigation systems, semi-trailer trucks, timing devices, office equipment, test instruments, medical and dental equipment, HVAC systems, valves, and manually operated devices.

Both these contacts are controlled by an integral common actuator. The design flexibility of this Honeywell Snap Action Switch allows several wiring combinations. This DPDT Switch has temperature tolerance to 82 °C [180 °F].
