DESCRIPTION

SE2470-002 LED from Honeywell features an 18° beam angle. This miniature, pill style IR component delivers higher output power than GaAs at equivalent drive currents and has a wide operating temperature range of -55 °C to 125 °C. This metal LED also comes with a peak wavelength of 880 nm and is suitable for direct mounting to printed circuit boards.

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are light sources which are semiconductor in nature. They are widely used as indicators in electronic circuits and the light emitted or reflected may vary from visible to infrared and ultraviolet regions. Honeywell LED SE2470 is a high intensity aluminum gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode, which is mounted in a hermetically sealed, glass lensed, metal can package.
