DESCRIPTION

030-2416-001 is a crimp contact assembly for ITT Cannon ZIF connectors, specifically designed to accommodate 28–32 AWG wire sizes with a 50 µinch gold bump-to-flat contact configuration. The contact is manufactured from copper alloy with gold over nickel plating, providing excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. This bump-to-flat design is mandatory for low-current applications below 100 milliamps, where the bump contact (installed in the plug) and flat contact (installed in the receptacle) work together to increase contact force and ensure the wiping point becomes the current-carrying point after mating. The 50 µinch gold finish offers the broadest amperage range from micro-amps to 5 amps, making it the standard choice for modern applications combining power and low-voltage signals in a single connector. Extraction tooling (274-7029-007) is available, and no insertion tool is required for assembly.
