DESCRIPTION
The 096521-0001 is a Micro-D metal shell connector featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing designed for highly reliable, extremely small, lightweight applications requiring higher density contact configurations. It employs size 24 MICROPINTM/MICROSOCKETTM contacts on 0.050" centers with an aluminum shell that provides greater strength, prevents chipping and cracking, and offers electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding. The connector incorporates a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide moisture and humidity sealing between each contact. Available in multiple shell sizes accommodating from 9 to 100 contacts with special arrangements of power and coaxial contacts, this connector is designed to meet demanding environmental and high-performance requirements. Common applications include aerospace, military, medical, and industrial systems where rugged, moisture-sealed microminiature connectors with high contact density are essential.
