DESCRIPTION

The 2DA31S-F172 is a Double Density D subminiature rectangular connector featuring socket contacts with 0.075" (1.91 mm) contact spacing and a standard jackscrew (F172) modification for secure coupling. This connector accommodates AWG #26 through #22 wire sizes and utilizes field-proven CentisocketTM contacts in a positive contact alignment design with chamfered-entry sockets that ensure reliable mating even under severe misalignment conditions. The connector employs a glass-filled nylon insulator with a monobloc design where contacts are retained by a resilient internal shoulder that snaps into a locking groove. The shell is constructed of steel with cadmium plating and yellow chromate supplementary coating, while mounting hardware is stainless steel.
