DESCRIPTION

980-2000-348 is a die cast zinc metal backshell designed for 37-position D-subminiature connectors, providing EMI/RFI shielding with a straight cable exit configuration. The backshell features an attenuation of -50 dB at 1000 MHz and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Key dimensions include A: 69.34 mm (2.730 in), B: 45.72 mm (1.800 in), C: 21.95 mm (0.864 in), D: 15.75 mm (0.620 in), E diameter: 18.44 mm (0.726 in), and F: 63.50 mm (2.500 in). The kit includes a front shell, rear shell, screws, hex nuts, mounting screws, end brackets, and PVC compression inserts that accommodate cable diameters from 7.62 mm to 17.27 mm. This backshell improves conformance to FCC DOC #20780 shielding requirements and is ideal for applications requiring robust EMI protection in a rugged package.
