DESCRIPTION

DB509061 is a D-Subminiature metal backshell assembly kit designed to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding for D-Subminiature connector cable assemblies. The kit includes a front shell, rear shell, compression inserts, screws, hex nuts, mounting screws, and end brackets, requiring no crimp ferrule tooling for assembly. The backshell is constructed from zinc with clear zinc finish and features a unique metal-filled plastic cable strain relief that guarantees 360° shielding. Operating over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with attenuation of -50 dB at 1000 MHz, this product is ideal for industrial and telecom applications requiring robust EMI protection and reliable cable management in demanding environments.
