DESCRIPTION
The TSP8048C5S is a Category 6 shielded modular RJ45 plug (8P8C) engineered for high-speed networking applications with large-diameter conductors. It meets or exceeds ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 performance specifications and features phosphor bronze contacts with 50 microinches of gold plating over a minimum 100 microinches nickel plate, ensuring reliable electrical connectivity. The plug body is constructed from polycarbonate with UL94V-0 flame auto-extinguish rating, and the shield is made from CDA-260 brass with 100–150 microinches of tin plating. Electrical performance includes a maximum contact resistance of 10 milliohms and a current/voltage rating of 30 VAC/42 VDC at 1.5 amps, with an insertion/extraction life of 1000 cycles. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. This connector is ideal for structured cabling systems, data centers, and telecommunications installations requiring robust shielded connections for Category 6 cable assemblies.
