DESCRIPTION

RTV102 is a white one-component RTV commonly used as a formed-in-place silicone gasket material. Additional uses include sealing, caulking, insulating and bonding.It cures to a tough, durable and resilient elastomer, making it ideal as a silicone rubber gasket. On exposure to atmospheric moisture, the curing reaction releases acetic acid vapors as a by-product.RTV102 has a standard strength paste consistency and can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable/self-leveling sealants are not practical. It is often used as a white silicone caulk to fill cracks or gaps. It offers properties similar to GE Silicone caulk.Because it utilizes a moisture cure system, this silicone liquid gasket should not be used in thicknesses greater than 6mm (1/4 in). Where section depths exceed 6mm (1/4 in.) we recommend using Momentive Performance Materials’ one-component addition cure or two-component silicone rubber compounds.For black and translucent silicone adhesives, try RTV103 or RTV108.
