DESCRIPTION

The CAP1188-1-CP-TR is an 8-channel capacitive touch sensor with eight integrated LED drivers designed for user interface applications. It features eight individual capacitive sensor inputs with programmable sensitivity and automatic recalibration to compensate for environmental changes. The device also includes eight LED drivers with controls for blinking, dimness, and breathing effects, which can be linked to touch inputs. For system integration, it supports multiple communication interfaces including SMBus, I2C, BC-Link, and SPI. Designed for low-power operation, it has a Deep Sleep mode drawing a typical quiescent current of 5µA, making it suitable for applications like desktop PCs, LCD monitors, consumer electronics, and appliances.
