DESCRIPTION

The MCP1404-E/P is a 4.5A dual non-inverting, high-speed power MOSFET driver. It operates over a wide input supply voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and delivers a high peak output current of 4.5A. This driver features short propagation delays of typically 40 ns and is capable of driving a 2200 pF capacitive load in 15 ns. The device is latch-up protected, withstanding up to 1.5A of reverse current, and its logic inputs can handle negative swings up to 5V. Common applications include switch-mode power supplies, pulse transformer drives, line drivers, and motor or solenoid drives.
