DESCRIPTION

The MCP73871T-1AAI/ML is a fully integrated linear charge management controller designed for system load sharing and charging single-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer batteries. This specific variant provides a preset high-accuracy charge voltage regulation of 4.10V with a ±0.5% tolerance. It supports selectable power input from a USB port or an AC-DC wall adapter, with resistor-programmable fast charge current control from 50 mA to 1A and a maximum total input current of 1.8A. The MCP73871T-1AAI/ML configuration comes with the safety timer and low battery output (LBO) features disabled. Housed in a 20-lead QFN package, it is ideal for a wide range of portable applications including GPS devices, smart phones, digital cameras, and portable medical devices.
