DESCRIPTION
The MIC3287YD5-TR is a 1.2MHz pulse width modulated (PWM) step-up switching regulator designed for constant current white LED driving applications. It operates from a 2.8V to 6.5V input, features a 350mA switch current, and uses a low 250mV feedback voltage to optimize efficiency. The device's constant frequency PWM control scheme reduces external component size and minimizes input ripple. This specific variant is supplied in a Thin SOT-23-5 package, operates over a –40°C to +125°C junction temperature range, and supports an output voltage up to 36V as it does not include overvoltage protection. Common applications include backlighting for cell phones, PDAs, and GPS systems, as well as use in LED flashlights.
