DESCRIPTION

The MIC4576WT is an adjustable BiCMOS step-down (buck) switch-mode voltage regulator capable of driving a 3A load. It operates from a wide input voltage range of 4V to 36V and features a fixed switching frequency of 200kHz. As an adjustable regulator, its output can be set from 1.23V to 33V with a guaranteed feedback voltage tolerance of ±2%. The device includes protection features such as cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown, and draws less than 200µA of standby current in shutdown mode. Housed in a TO-220-5 package for the industrial temperature range, it is well-suited for applications like simple high-efficiency buck regulators, on-card switching regulators, and battery chargers.
