DESCRIPTION

The UXC20P is a low-noise programmable prescaler featuring selectable divide-by-2, divide-by-4, or divide-by-8 division ratios. It operates over a wide frequency range from DC to 20 GHz and exhibits low single-sideband (SSB) phase noise of -153 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset. The device features differential inputs and outputs, an adjustable output swing greater than 1 Vppk per side, and consumes 0.6 W of power. Control inputs are compatible with CMOS and LVTTL logic, and the component is housed in a compact 4 mm x 4 mm leadless surface mount package. Its low phase noise makes it ideal for use as a general-purpose prescaler in high-frequency PLLs and for generating low-jitter, synchronous clocks in telecom applications.
