DESCRIPTION

The MC7805CTG is a monolithic integrated circuit designed as a fixed-voltage regulator, providing a stable 5.0 V output. This device can deliver an output current in excess of 1.0 A, with the output voltage maintained between 4.75 V and 5.25 V over a 7.0 V to 20 V input voltage range. Key features include a typical dropout voltage of 2.0 V at 1.0 A, a minimum ripple rejection of 62 dB, and internal thermal overload protection and short-circuit current limiting. It is well-suited for a wide variety of applications, including local, on-card regulation and powering digital logic circuits.
