DESCRIPTION
The MOC3043SM is a zero-cross triac driver optocoupler featuring a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector. It has a peak blocking voltage of 400V and a low maximum LED trigger current of 5 mA. This device features a zero-voltage crossing function to minimize conducted and radiated line noise and a guaranteed static dv/dt of 1000 V/µs. The MOC3043SM is designed for interfacing logic systems with equipment powered from 115 VAC lines in applications such as solenoid/valve controls, lighting controls, static power switches, and AC motor drives.
