DESCRIPTION
The MOC3043SR2M is a zero-voltage crossing triac driver optocoupler, which contains a GaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector. It is designed for use with a triac to control equipment powered from 115/240 VAC lines. Key technical characteristics include a 400V peak blocking voltage, a low maximum LED trigger current of 5 mA, and a high guaranteed static dv/dt of 1000 V/μs. The integrated zero-crossing circuit simplifies logic control of AC power, making this device ideal for applications such as solid-state relays, solenoid/valve controls, lighting controls, and AC motor starters.
