DESCRIPTION

MP7227-DA is a miniature MEMS catalytic combustible gas sensor (pellistor) designed for low power detection of methane and other flammable gases in hazardous environments. It features a certified flameproof enclosure with ATEX and IECEx certifications, operating at DC supply voltage of +2.9 to +3.1V with typical power consumption of 37.0 to 41.0 mA in continuous mode and ultra-low power in pulsed operation. The sensor provides minimum sensitivity of 8 mV/% methane, response time (T90) of less than 12 seconds, and can detect up to 5% methane in air. With its compact dimensions, 1g weight, and service temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, it is ideal for battery-operated portable gas detection instruments in mining (Group 1) and industrial (Group 2) applications where size and long battery life are essential.
