DESCRIPTION

ASE42G04 is a 4-pole double-throw (4PDT) slide switch with extended actuator and gold contacts, designed for reliable switching in demanding applications. The switch features bifurcated double-wipe contacts that provide dependable telecom-grade switching performance with a contact rating of 0.4 VA at 20 VDC or peak AC shorting type. It is constructed with high-temperature anti-static PET plastic case material and nylon actuator, allowing it to withstand aqueous or solvent cleaning processes, surface mount reflow, and wave soldering conditions. The switch offers an initial contact resistance of 0.40 milliohms maximum, insulation resistance of 1,000 megohms at 500 VDC, and a dielectric strength of 1,000 volts RMS, with a life expectancy of 10,000 cycles. Common applications include telecommunications equipment, industrial control systems, and automated test equipment where reliable multi-pole switching and process compatibility are essential.
