DESCRIPTION

7-1437529-1 is a 6-position DIP socket from the 500 Series designed for through-hole mounting of integrated circuits. It features a vertical mount style with a row-to-row spacing of 7.62 mm and a centerline of 2.54 mm, with beryllium copper contacts and tin-lead plating on the mating area. The socket offers excellent electrical characteristics including an insulation resistance of 5,000 MO and contact resistance of 10 mO, with a temperature rating up to 105°C. This closed-frame DIP socket with four-fingered screw machine contacts is suitable for wave soldering processes up to 265°C, making it ideal for PCB assembly applications requiring reliable IC interconnection.
