DESCRIPTION

The KA-81-01 is a cap and chain assembly designed for TNC connectors, providing protective coverage and tethered retention for RF connector interfaces. The assembly features a silicone rubber pad (ZZ-R-765) bonded to a brass body with stainless steel 303 bead chain for secure attachment. The connector interface is threaded with 7/16-28 UNEF-2B specification, and the assembly incorporates nickel-plated couplings and silver-plated metal parts per military specifications (QQ-N-290, QQ-S-365) for corrosion resistance and durability. The bead chain is passivated per QQ-P-35 for enhanced reliability. This cap and chain assembly is commonly used in aerospace, military, and telecommunications applications to protect TNC connectors from contamination, moisture ingress, and accidental disconnection during field operations.
