DESCRIPTION

The 66F120 is a subminiature 8-pin DIP bimetallic thermostat from the Airpax 6600 series, designed for accurate temperature sensing and reliable switching in a single compact device. It features positive snap action with single pole/single throw contact operation, gold-plated contacts, and is RoHS compliant per EU directive 2002/95/EC. The thermostat operates over a temperature range of 40°C to 130°C with a standard temperature tolerance of ±5°C, and achieves up to 30,000 life cycles at maximum standard amperage (120 VAC) or up to 100,000 life cycles with gold contact amperage at 5 VDC. The device is sealed with high-temperature epoxy for wave soldering and board washing, making it ideal for surface and air sensing on printed circuit boards. Common applications include computers and peripherals, aircraft, automotive systems, and test equipment, where it can control indicator lights, audible alarms, display messages, or system shutdown functions.
