DESCRIPTION

66L045 is a subminiature bimetallic disc thermostat from the Airpax 6600 Series, designed for accurate and reliable temperature sensing and switching in a compact 8-pin DIP package. This device features open on rise (limit) operation with a factory-preset operating temperature of 45°C (±5°C tolerance), gold-plated contacts, and positive snap action switching. The thermostat offers contact ratings up to 1A at 120VAC or 48VDC with up to 30,000 life cycles, and achieves 100,000 cycles at low-level gold contact switching. It is sealed with high-temperature epoxy to withstand wave soldering and board washing operations, with a weight of approximately 0.45 grams. Common applications include computers, computer peripherals, aircraft, automotive, and test equipment for temperature monitoring, alarm triggering, and system shutdown protection.
