DESCRIPTION

HSC1008R0J is a 100W aluminium housed wire wound power resistor from the TE Connectivity HS Series with a resistance value of 8.0 ohms and ±5% tolerance. This resistor features a power dissipation of 100W with heatsink (50W without heatsink) at 25°C, a maximum working voltage of 1900V DC/AC rms, and an operating temperature range of -55°C to 200°C. The aluminium housing enables rapid heat dissipation to a specified heatsink, with an isolation voltage of 3500V and dielectric strength of 5000V AC peak. It offers excellent long-term stability with resistance change of 2% over 1000 hours and is suitable for applications including braking resistors, balancing resistors, capacitor charging/discharging, crowbar circuits, and filters in power supplies, power generation, and traction industries.
