DESCRIPTION

The 89114-0001 is a preassembled, 14-position Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) socket from the 3M 891 series, designed for terminating .050" pitch ribbon cables. This model features military-style polarization with a centerbump to ensure correct mating. The contacts are phosphor bronze with 30 μ" gold plating in the wiping area, housed in a gray, UL 94V-0 rated glass-filled polyester body. It accommodates 26 and 28 AWG stranded wire and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. These sockets are ideal for various electronic applications requiring reliable and easily assembled wire-to-board connections.
