DESCRIPTION

MF-R040-2-99 is a radial-leaded PTC resettable fuse designed for low-voltage power supply protection in electronic applications. It features a maximum voltage rating of 60 V and maximum current rating of 40 A, with a hold current (Ihold) of 0.40 A and trip current (Itrip) of 0.80 A at 23°C. The device exhibits an initial resistance of 0.86 O and a post-trip resistance of 1.29 O maximum, with a maximum time to trip of 3.8 seconds at 23°C. The component is constructed with cured, flame-retardant epoxy polymer insulation meeting UL 94V-0 requirements, is RoHS compliant, and halogen-free. It is commonly used in computers, peripherals, and general electronics where reliable overcurrent protection is required.
