DESCRIPTION

PTS181224V150 is a PolyTron™ surface mount PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) device designed for overcurrent protection in 24 VDC applications. This 1812-format device features a maximum voltage rating of 24 VDC, a holding current of 1.50 A at 23°C, and a trip current of 3.00 A, with a typical power dissipation of 0.9 W. The device exhibits low initial resistance of 0.5 O and a post-trip resistance of 0.06 O, enabling fast time-to-trip protection with an 8-second maximum response time. It is halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant, making it suitable for medical equipment, telecommunications, rechargeable battery packs, and computer peripherals where reliable circuit protection is essential.
